Loving God and His Word
Hello Friend, I’m glad you’re here. Perhaps you, like me, have found yourself searching for something beyond the day-to-day routine things. Perhaps, in your pursuit, you have discovered a deep longing for God: to know Him and to experience Him.
I believe that deep inside each of us is a space that only God can fill, and that we yearn for Him to fill that place with His unconditional love and acceptance. I’ve found that one of the best ways to learn about God and His love is in spending time in His Word (The Bible). That’s why I am continually drawn to His book. It speaks to me in the area of my deepest needs.
I love His Word because:
- It reveals God to me and connects me to Him.
- It gives me God’s perspective on life and conveys to me His promises and favor.
- It inspires me in His ways and in His wisdom.
In short, His Word gives life.
“People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4: 4 NLT)
I invite you to share in His Word with me. This blog will share some of the thoughts that come to me as I read. It may raise light questions or insights for reflection. Nothing theologically heavy, I hope; but entries may at times be thought-provoking or challenging. Mostly, I hope they are fun; and that through them, we experience more of God.
So come with me. Jump in. Let’s see what we find.

Life continually offers us moments of contrast: joy and disappointment, peace and tension, wisdom and senselessness. Understanding God’s perspective of those things invites us to pursue and anticipate His goodness and favor for our lives.
